Planned Giving & Bequests

The Global Community for Education has made life-changing impacts on so many students and the communities we serve in Nepal. Our work is possible because of the generosity of all our fantastic supporters. We are pleased to be able to offer an option to support our students and the future of GCE through planned giving and bequests.

Plan your gift today—it’s easier than you think

Planned giving—financial gifts to nonprofits made through donors’ estates or financial plans— is a possibility for everyone, regardless of age, income or assets. If you have a more complicated estate plan, please consult with your attorney about the best way to include GCE in your planned giving.

Beneficiary Designations

When you designate beneficiaries for the assets in your estate plan directly with the financial institution, it simplifies the transfer of assets upon your death and can allow your estate to avoid probate. As part of your planned giving, please consider designating GCE as a beneficiary for:

  • Bank accounts
  • Investment accounts
  • Retirements accounts: IRAs, 401(k), 403(b), pensions plans, etc.
  • Insurance policies

Use the following information to identify GCE as a beneficiary:

The Global Community for Education

3930 Glade Road #108-250

Colleyville, TX 76034

Phone: 972-898-8548

Federal Tax ID#: 27-0990471

Bequests

Bequests are gifts that are made as part of a will or trust, and it’s easy to include GCE in yours.

Sample bequest language:

I give [a percentage of the estate, a specific sum, or description of specific property] to The Global Community for Education, 3930 Glade Road #108-250, Colleyville, TX 76034, Phone: 972-898-8548, Federal Tax ID#: 27-0990471, to be used for its general tax-exempt purposes, but without other restriction as to use.

Over age 70 ½? Want to reduce your taxable income?

If you have an IRA and must take a Required Minimum Distribution, did you know you can instruct your financial institution to direct it to GCE and you WOULD NOT PAY TAXES on that income? It’s easy – many GCE Supporters do this annually, and it can often be done with a few clicks online. Visit your financial institution’s website or give them a call. You’ll need to provide GCE’s Tax ID# 27-0990471.

Establish your legacy

Making a planned gift to GCE through your will, estate plan, or designated beneficiary makes you a member of the GCE Virasata Society, our strongest supporters who will sustain GCE’s mission to provide educational opportunities. Virasata is the Nepali word for Legacy, and you will indeed be creating a lasting legacy.

Already included GCE in your estate plans?

Please let us know so that we can express our appreciation and include you in the GCE Virasata Society and document how you wish to be recognized or if you wish your bequest to remain anonymous.
